A headshot or upper body photo with a minimalist background tends to deliver the most detail. Good colour contrast between the subject and the background is also beneficial. Close-up selfies or flash photography are not recommended as they may result in washed-out colour tones.

Will my photo actually work?
Most do. The best results come from a clear, well-lit shot with good contrast between your subject and the background — a face or two in sharp focus works best. Very dark, blurry or heavily flash-lit photos lose detail once they're charted.
If you're unsure, send it to us before you order and we'll tell you honestly whether it will stitch well — and suggest a size that suits it.
I've never cross stitched before. Is this too hard?
No. Your pattern comes pre-printed onto the Aida fabric and your threads arrive pre-sorted and labelled, so there's no counting from a blank grid and no guessing which colour goes where.
Cross stitch is a single repeated stitch — if you can thread a needle, you can do this. Choose 11 count for the largest, easiest squares to start with.

How long does it take to stitch?
It depends on size and fabric count. As a rough guide, a 20x30cm (8"x12") portrait takes most people around 20–30 hours; a 40x50cm (16"x20") is more like 60–80 hours.
It isn't a weekend project — that's rather the point. Most people stitch a little each evening and finish over a few weeks.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are typically dispatched within 3-5 business days as each kit is custom-made. Delivery times vary by location - UK orders usually arrive within 5-7 days, international orders may take 10-14 days.
What fabric count should I choose?
For beginners, we recommend 11 count Aida - the larger squares make it easier to see where to stitch. More experienced stitchers often prefer 14 or 16 count for finer detail in their finished piece.
Can I change the size after ordering?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to modify your order. We can often accommodate changes before production begins, but once your pattern has been created and threads sorted, modifications may not be possible.

I did a picture of my mam with her grandkids for her birthday, she absolutely loved it! The pattern was really easy to follow and the materials were really good quality.
I refuse to pay for this I’ve been in touch with PayPal. The picture does not line up. Look closely the holes are half way through the stitch above. Was not printed properly. I’ve sent all this information and pictures 3x this is the worse thing I’ve been through. I wanted to send it back and asked Maria how to do it. She was an office form letter. Bad business please advise

The quality has gone way down, the last, and I do mean last project i bought was not up to expectations and I received no helpful answers when I reached out. Very disappointed. As you can see the finished project on the left has far less detail the faces look funky and it took several back and forth emails to get colors right, in my latest project had the same problem and this time they are not working with me to get it right so I am done, will not be returning, and I dont reccomend purchasing their product
I LOVE working on my cross stitch kit. The pattern is clear and easy to follow, the threads are high quality and I can tell that the image is going to be beautiful. I struggle with ADHD and working on this project helps calm my mind when I am overwhelmed. I highly recommend!
We have been buying the kits for several years, I say we because I prepare the image, my wife completes the cross stitching and finally I frame them. All of the items are of good quality and well packaged, we normally request an electronic copy of the pattern as it makes it much easier to read. We have never been disappointed and the customer service is above and beyond.

It’s a simple wedding invitation. I understand that the uploaded image must have a lot of color variation in it, but It was obviously run through a software application and created without a human ever looking at it. If someone had just looked at it, it would have been obvious the image needed updating. For instance, why are there 10-15 colors where the writing is? Should be just black and white. So disappointed.

(Unfinished) It’s extremely large, more than I thought but it’s also challenging for me. (This one it’s not easy at all). I spend more than a year to get it done. It looks more like on the photo now. Some of the colors might not like the color on the photo but it’s an art and it goes well together. I’ll try to get it done soon.
Loved doing them my only challenge was they had both a + and a / in both blue and green and sometimes it’s very hard to tell, which is what colour
I really enjoy the completing the personal crossstitch, it does take a long time as I only do it for a couple of hours each day. The detail is excellent and there is always more than enough thread.
