A headshot or upper body photo with a minimalist background tends to deliver the most detail. Good colour contrast between the subject and the background is also beneficial. Close-up selfies or flash photography are not recommended as they may result in washed-out colour tones.

Step 2. Choose the size of your canvas. Larger canvases (at least 40cm across) preserve more detail, which is why we highly recommend them. We'll adjust the orientation (landscape or portrait) based on your image, unless otherwise specified.
Step 3. Select the number of threads you prefer. More threads mean more detail in your final piece. If your image has lots of shades and details, a higher thread count is the best choice! Then, pick your preferred thread type.
Step 4. Make sure your image upload was successful by checking if a file is attached to your order. If everything looks good, hit "Add To Cart", or checkout instantly with your favourite provider.
Step 5. Continue to checkout as you usually would. To double-check everything is in order, click or tap the image link attached to your order. This allows you to download and confirm the image we have for your personalised cross stitch.
