How it works

  1. Upload your photo. Click "Choose Image" above and pick your favourite shot.
  2. Choose your size. Bigger means more detail — we recommend at least 40cm across for pets, since fur and eyes need room to read properly.
  3. Pick fabric count and thread. 11 count is the easiest to stitch; 14 count captures finer detail. Cotton or silk is down to preference.
  4. Add to cart. We chart your photo by hand, sort your threads, and post it out.

Choosing a photo that works

The best results come from a clear head-and-shoulders shot with good light and decent contrast between your pet and the background. Busy backgrounds and dark, blurry or flash-bleached photos lose detail once they're charted.

Will my photo actually work?

Most do. The best results come from a clear head-and-shoulders shot with good light and some contrast between your pet and the background. Very dark, blurry or heavily flash-lit photos lose detail once they're charted.

If you're unsure, send it to us before you order and we'll tell you honestly whether it will stitch well — and suggest a size that suits it.

I've never cross stitched before. Is this too hard?

No. Your pattern comes pre-printed onto the Aida fabric and your threads arrive pre-sorted and labelled, so there's no counting from a blank grid and no guessing which colour goes where.

Cross stitch is a single repeated stitch — if you can thread a needle, you can do this. Choose 11 count for the largest, easiest squares to start with.

How long does it take to stitch?

It depends on size and fabric count. As a rough guide, a 20x30cm (8"x12") pet portrait takes most people around 20–30 hours; a 40x50cm (16"x20") is more like 60–80 hours.

It isn't a weekend project — that's rather the point. Most people stitch a little each evening and finish over a few weeks.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are typically dispatched within 3-5 business days as each kit is custom-made. Delivery times vary by location - UK orders usually arrive within 5-7 days, international orders may take 10-14 days.

What fabric count should I choose?

For beginners, we recommend 11 count Aida - the larger squares make it easier to see where to stitch. More experienced stitchers often prefer 14 or 16 count for finer detail in their finished piece.

Can I change the size after ordering?

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to modify your order. We can often accommodate changes before production begins, but once your pattern has been created and threads sorted, modifications may not be possible.

The picture stamped was purples. Blues, yellows… for a brown and white dog. The canvas itself was not cross stitch material… it felt more like a needlepoint canvas…. And would not fit into the hoop that was sent in the kit. The reason. Was going to try your brand was because needlepoint is difficult for my arthritic thumbs.

I am happy with the way the pattern came out, but I'm disappointed in the fabric used and the fact that it is printed cross stitch and not counted cross stitch. I ordered some aida cloth and am following the pattern on that. Just my opinion.

This certainly is not for a beginner or novice. I got a very complicated pattern and I'm very experienced, but I'm overwhelmed by how complex the image is. It also has my very white cat in a light blue?? We'll see how it goes but I'm not optimistic. Overall, I would not recommend this company.
