The Hat Pattern Steps
Begin with Bottom Band
Chain 11, sc in the second ch from the hook and continue across until the end of the row, Ch 1, Turn
Row 1
Working through the back loop only on this row and here on out, skip the first st, work 1 sc in each st across, Ch 1, turn. Repeat Row 1 for 58 Rows. Do not fasten off after row 58.
Next
Make 58 Single Crochets along the top long side of the band, Ch 1, Turn
Top Shape of Hat
Repeat Rows 1 & 2 for a total of 12 Rows
Row 1
Single Crochet in each next 8 Stitches, Single Crochet 2 together, Repeat across, end with 1 Single Crochet, Chain 1, Turn.
Row 2
Single Crochet in each of next 2 Stitches, Single Crochet 2 Together, Repeat across, end with 1 Single Crochet, Chain 1, Turn.
Row 3 to Row 7
Repeat the decreases for this section to form the top of the hat.
Finishing
Sew the Back Seam of the Hat using the Long Yarn that was left. Attach new Yarn to the bottom band of Hat and add a border of Single Crochets. Weave in ends when done. Fold up the bottom band of the hat.
