Introduction

Materials Needed

  • Less than 688 yards of Mandala Ombre Yarn from Lion Brand or any medium weight four yarn
  • 5 mm H crochet hook or afghan hook
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle
  • Poly-fil

  • TKS: Tunisian Knit Stitch
  • CH: Chain

  • FP: Forward Pass
  • RP: Return Pass

Pattern Instructions

Notes:

  • Written in standard US terms
  • Gauge is not important
  • Finished size as shown is 44" length and a 14" circumference
  • Do not turn your work. The right side is always facing you
  • You will need to know how to mattress stitch to seam up the project

Pattern:

*the pillow is worked in 3 rows of TSS followed by 3 rows of TKS throughout the entire pattern for a total of 165 rows or length desired.

Row 1: TSS

Row 1 FP:

CH 50, Insert your hook into the second CH from the hook, YO and pull up a loop, leaving that loop on your hook, *Insert your hook into the next ch, YO and pull up a loop, leaving a loop on the hook, repeat from * across the CH row (50)

Row 1 RP:

At the end of the row do not turn your work, YO and draw through the one loop, * YO and draw through two loops, repeat from * across the row until one loop is left on the hook (50)

Finishing

Fasten off yarn. Cut a 46" piece of yarn and use the mattress stitch and a yarn needle to seam up the long side of the pattern. Take care to line up the sides evenly.

Matress stitch one short end together, taking care to line up the sides evenly. Fill the pillow with Poly-fil or filling of choice.

Tip: Be sure to stuff very full, so the pillow will keep its shape.

Matress stitch the other end together again, taking care to line up the sides evenly. Fasten off and weave in the loose ends with a yarn needle.
